Help with project studio buliding.......

Hi, im building a project studio, that will be used to make dance music (house and garagemainly). The budget is roughly £10,000 which dosnt include the PC (allready purchased).

Below is a list of ideas I had, can you tell me what u think and any prices you might know of and any ideas you have. Cheers

Mixing Desks:

Mics: Going to be used for vocals mainly, reccommendations?

Sampler: Akai S5000 or S6000. What are the main differences?

Sound Modules:
Emu Proteus 2500 £799
What other good all round modules would u suggest?

Synths:
Nova II, Virus B. All around £800. What else?

Effect Units. Need a couple, maybe one reverb unit and a multi effects one. ???

Compressor, will proberly be used mainly for the Vocals. Ideas?

Finaly....19" racks? Where can I get these? and prices?

Anything there that you reckon ive left off?

I just glanced over your equipment list and it seems to me that you've got some superfluous pieces in there. For example, a DAW can handle the duties of both the DAT and the Yamaha mixers, so I would leave those out but perhaps get one of those "control surface" mixer thingies. Most of your ideas are good other than that.
