Help with Delta 1010

I just bought a brand new computer and a delta 1010. And the pci card that came with it is bigger than the pci slots. The card wont fit??? WTF??? Has anyone else experienced this or know what I can do???
 
Short of returning the computer and buying one that offers full length PCI slots, I can't think of any other workaround.
What computer did you buy?
 
It is a standard size PCI card, and not a particularly large specimen. I'm guessing the pc case may be half hight? Or does it require a "riser" card to turn the socket at 90deg?
