Help. Switching Patches and Banks within CakeWalk 8

I just bought a roland xv-5080 synth module. To switch banks and patches it says to send a Band Select MSB (Control Number 0) value of 87 and a Bank Select LSB (Control Number 32) of 64, then send a Program Change with
a value of 2. That will give me a certain patch within a certain bank. All I can do is switch patches within the bank. I can't switch banks. In the events window I select a patch change command with Control 0 selected. For the bank option it just has three dashes(---). When I try to write in an 87 it just overrides it with the dashes. I believe this is my problem. How do I set the bank?
