so my idea to upgrade to a firewire interface...
i dont want a firepod, i've used one for a couple projects and getting it to work with vista 64 was a nightmare. i like the idea of the presonus firestation (2 XLR, and a bunch of 1/4" line ins) but its out of date and presonus never made vista drivers for it and doesnt support the product anymore, period. a similar approach would be the edirol fa101. i want 6 preamps, so having only two on the firestation or fa101, i had planned on trying the ART tube preamps (the $30 cheapos from musiciansfriend) to fill some line ins and then have basically an upgraded firepod for a similar price. any other ideas that would allow the use of some cheap ART preamps and a firewire interface would be greatly appreciated.
