Hey all,
I've got an Aardvark DirectPro 24/96, and right now I'm using the bundled Samplitude Project 5.5.
I'm having major clipping problems that I can't fix. I'll set my trim on the input so that my peak is between -3
and -6, and then I'll lay down a track (guitar). At no point does the peak ever get above -3, but when I play it back I'll hear distorted portions near -3. Is this freakin' normal?! I'm used to analog where you want to record as loud as humanly possible. Should I just adjust the trim some more, or what?
Thanks!
