I just finished setting up and running a PA for an outdoor chorale for the 4th of July, and it went great! The only problem was that I was taping the show using the "Tape Out" from my Mackie mixer to my Roland 1680, and during the loud vocal parts, the inputs on the 1680 were set too high and it distorts badly.
The soft parts are fine, but the rest is a lot of mush, and I'm hoping there are some kind of studio tricks that will minimize the distortion.
Any ideas?
