Can Anybody Help??
I Want To Record From My Record Decks/cd Players To The Hard Drive On My Laptop, What Do I Need? My Mixer Is A Behringer Djx700, So Its Got Record Out Facility. Cheers For Any Help What So Ever. Dave
 
There is an easy way and a hard way.

The easy way is simply to connect the line out of your mixer into the line in on your laptop. You may need to find a lead that has the right fittings. Your laptop may already have a sound recording accesory, so it is a matter of hitting 'play' on the CD and 'record' on the accessory. This may give poor results, because the soundcard in the laptop, or the recording function may be pretty basic, incapable of delivering good quality.

There are a number of free or cheap audio editing programs out there that will do just fine. You can record and edit using these. You may need to examine alternatives to the onboard sound card.

Then, of course, you can go and buy a whole mess of advanced audio gear to do the job
