 help: WAMI RACK or WAMI OCTA

hello!
to anybody who can help me.
I'm going to choose a new interface for my Home recording studio and
I have to decide between WAMI rack 192x and WAMI OCTA FIRE.
I've already bought a Wami192x :-)cool:) but I sow that that OCTA FIRE
could match my need better and now I must revisit my choice.
I saw that they incredibly have the same price  << -- WHY?? -- >>
OCTA has got 8 channel instead 4 and it is FIREWIRE...
Now I wont to ask you:
Is FIRE WIRE connection ok?
does it give any problem?
wich one do you suggest me to choose?

apologying for my English I thank you all in advance

greetings

I've found FireWire to be a dependable, solid and trouble free way to get audio signals into a computer.

The interface you are looking at is so cheap because it has been discontinued by the manufacturer. (I think...) I couldn't find any references newer that the summer of 2002 when I googled it.

If you have a chance to get an 8 input FireWire interface at a reasonable price I would strongly recommend you buy it.

My friend recently got a Quatafire, which I've found to be a very dependable, good sounding interface.

I like ESI products, but I personally think the Wamirack is too expensive to compete with the likes of the cheaper RMEs, the new-generation Echos, and the new E-mus.
