Heartbeat

Sounds very raw. Add some reverb or something. Pretty much all fronts. Drummer needs to work on timing, too. Vocalist needs to work on pitch... Guitars need to come up... Lots of issues to fix here, but hey... We've all gotta start somewhere. Keep it up!
 
I like what you're trying to do with the bass for the 1st minute & a half droning, almost cello like but it's a bit too thin to make it work for the whole song.
Some excellent ideas & a few very lyrical lines in there too.
Your drummer does need to play to a metronome or something.
 
Thanks Ray. It is actually an electric upright. As far as timing, I don't hear any issues, but if they're there they're there. They don't bother me. This is the last song we wrote for the album and by far the least rehearsed. I literally showed it to the band 2 practices before we hit the studio.
 
I think the song has lots of potential, I like the arrangement and the vocal delivery. The drums have serious timing issues, and although recorded well, in my opinion the song won't really be able to rise above the drummers performance.
