Headset mics

Hi I'm looking for a reasonably cheap headset mic. I'm a drummer, so I don't know how that will affect my choices, but obviously I want it to pick up the lowest sound of drums possible.

So far I've been looking at the Audio Technica ATM75 and the AKG C444. Any preferances?

Also, I'd be using a mixer with phantom power, so which versions would I need of each? The AKG comes with either normal XLR (I suppose I get this), or mini-XLR. And the A-T comes either with an inline power supply or unterminated cable, could I just put an XLR on the end of it?

Thanks in advance.

This may seem obvious, but look for one with a cardioid pattern, that will help with rejection of the other sounds, keeping it pointed at your mouth. Avoid Omni patterns.

I'm affraid I don't think my local shop can get those mics in. I'm leaning towards the AKG now, because it also looks comfortable. So ANYONE with experience of this mic, could you fill me in?
