Headphone Out w/ mk424III

for some reason it always outputs to only one side of the headphones (right or left), never both. i've tried multiple pairs of headphones. any ideas? when i run the main outs of the 4track into my stereo receiver and plug the headphones into the reciever the sound comes on on both sides.

Could be the headphone jack is loose and needs to be resoldered or something, as is the case with mine. I have to hold down the phone plug firmly in order to get a signal through both speakers.
