all the bands and singers i record complain about the heaphones having a delay and hearing themselves late in the recording, it throws them off. any suggestions? i have the AKG/Art headphone amp and do live recording with seperate vocals.

Or if your computer hardware is uncapable of low latency, use external monitoring. You'll need to give the headphones a feed from the board, and disable monitoring in your DAW software (drivers and/or tracking software).

what DAW are you using
if pro tools
just select low latency monitoring in one of the menus its at the bottom
sorry cant remember which menu and PT wont open unless connected to the 002

that WILL definatly work i have the desk every now and then i forget to switch on low latency and the drummer i work with is good enough to shout "low lateny man!" at me! but it does sound pretty fucked up if you dont switch it on!

i remember using garageband on my old mac G3 (shudder) and having it on the lowest latency i could and having to make do with a delay like effect when recording my guitar! ahh good times!
