Have you ever changed the tubes in your dbx386?

On the recommendation of a few others, I recently purchased a matched pair if Telefunken tubes from ebay to replace the ones in my dbx386 mic pre. Apparently it will make everything sound like buttah.

I haven't replaced them yet, but is there anything I need to know befroe I start, such as "don't touch the tubes with bare hands" or anything like that? I'm something of a newbie when it comes to this stuff. And I assume I simply unscrew all the screws holding the unit together and pop out the old tubes, right?

Were you the Bastard that out bid me? If you are Im interested in how it turns out. Be sure and have your bathtub filled and to have the unit plugged in for safety.

Keep the unit turned on while you feed signal through it.
The you pull out the mains cord and wait for the sound to die out.
If done correctly, the unit will be drained from all it's DC and you're safe. If not, real tube circuits can easily store 700 Volts inside, a long time after it's been turned off. And oh, don't put your dick where the tubes should be. It doesn't tickle, it fries.
