Hanging panels on the wall...

I've built some acoustical panels...how should I hang them?

Eyehooks + wire like a picture? (Hard to get them even across the wall)

Or a hook style in the top center with nail/bolt in the wall?

Thanks!

FWIW: I studio I used to go to for voiceovers/narration had panels on rails so they could be moved to any point along the wall.

I cut two small slits in mine, then epoxied small eye hooks on the top. Then put small finishing nails into the wall that the eye hooks went onto.

Then on the other two walls (half walls), I used verticle steel wire from ceiling to floor that also went thru the same eye hooks. This way, they can be adjusted by simply tilting the bottom out toward yourself and sliding the panel up or down.

I say use rails as well. Rip something like a 3/4 x 2 1/2 strip of wood into 2 pieces with a 60 degree cut so that you have two strips that interlock. Attach one to the panel and one to the wall. Easy to get perfectly straight and you can take them right down.
