Handling overlapping audio

asterix12

In the manual I don't understand p.98 Cubase 6 or p.121 for cubase 7.

"Open the context menu for the audio event in the event display and select the desired event

Desired event????

or region from the “To Front” -> ok I got it.

or “Set to Region” submenu."

Set to region? I don't see that?

Thanks

Man yeah there is some poor writing (IMO) in the manual.

Basically what they mean is, while having the selected audio event you want to pull to the front right click with your mouse and hit "to front" on that event. If you have the event that overlaps, and the event that it overlaps and you want the events to switch places, you need to tell the one that is overlapped to come forward and overlap the event that was overlapping it.

Yeah ok that wasn't much better than the manual.

The set to region thing makes no sense to me either. haha Maybe they mean using track lanes or something and you can set to region that your using for the final? That seriously has me confused.

Anyhow, it might help to find out what you are trying to do.
