Guitar tracks skips around????

i got Guitar Tracks with my j-station, and randomly in songs it skips around...it really pisses me off....is it cause my computer can't handle the software....i've done recording with other programs just fine in the past!?!?!?
any insight is much appreciated

What are the specs of your computer system? And what soundcard are you using?

If you select Options>Audio, and click on the Device Profiles tab, is the Use Wave Out Position for Timing option activated?

Do you have any other audio drivers activated in Cakewalk? If so, deactivate all of them except the ones for your SB card.

You may also want to try turning hardware acceleration off for your video card.

Also, make sure you have the latest drivers for your sound card.
