I'm building a bunch of acoustic panels for the church I belong to, and just ordered a lot of fabric from this company. They seem to be THE leaders in this field of fire rated fabric in the US. It's also pricey as all get out, $17.50 USD a linear yard and up. The last panels I built (and posted on this board) were covered in upholstery fabric. They were remnants which I got at the local fabric store for $2.99 a linear yard. Guess what? Upholstery fabric is also fire treated and in my informal burn tests- ( with a lighter!) these fabrics burn exactly the same. BTW they both burn, they just don't flash burn.

If you're making any type of absorber panels or covering fiberglass in your studio and want to be firesafe and economical, check the local fabric store for this inexpensive stuff.
