Group Buy ACM - 1200 Microphone Mod

The mods have been completed using the U47 style transformer and PCM board designed by Oliver for the TNC 1200 microphones. My initial impressions are this, there is much detail in the microphone, the lows come throught rich and full, mids are clear and there is nice detail in the top end. All in all, it is a keeper. Such a great mic at such a low price. More comparison and testing to come, but for now, thanks Chance for making this happen at such a bargain!!

what components did you use for the board, and where did you get them?

If we are going to do a group buy...and we have control over all the componants...why not just backward engineer a U47?

I should have been more specific - I mean just those components to "stuff the board" - caps and resistors mostly. There were a couple of options on how to do it iirc.

You can get the components from Mouser, Digikey, Newark, etc. The big ticket items (besides the transformers) are the 1G and 75M resistors at $5-$6 apiece, though the original mic boards have a few of these that can be recycled.
