Ground Loops (need help please)

Can they damage equipment?
How do you get rid of them?

Heres my setup:

When the audio is disconnected from AB Box 2 to Mixer 1 the ground loop is broken.

The loop is audiable in both mixers.

All of the cabels except the audio from Mixer 1 to Mixer 2 have a shielded end.

When the audio is disconnected from AB Box 2 to Mixer 1 the ground loop is broken.

Then make a cable which breaks that ground on one end, and it see if it works (it should.)

And no, a ground loop is not going to break anything, but it will make thinks pretty close to unusable.
