Groove Tubes Mics

I got some of my best vocal tracks yet with a Groove Tubes GT57. Discernably better than my Marshall V67 (which has since died). I can't knock the Marshall for the money, but rather than spending $100 on a new one and not upgrading my selection, I picked up a GT55. The 57's weren't available and I needed a mic. I was told it's the same as the 57, except for the variable pickup patterns, which I don't need right now.

Anybody have either of these? I'd like to get some feedback. If I can get tracks on the 55 to sound as good as the 57, I will be quite happy.

I am not familiar with the 50's, but I love my 66. It is not a vintage M49 or anything, but for the money, it is one hell of a fine mic.
