Grace 101 vs. Golden Age-73

Hey all, I'm still in the market for a genaral preamp to run mostly vocals and guitar through. Have read a lot of posts on the Grace 101. Has anyone tried the GA-73 modified? Any thoughts? Thanks all.
 
I've got the GAP with the TT mod that Zen Pro offers - it's cool on a bunch of stuff, but on lead vocals it's a little flat. You can push the trannies for some rzzzzzzzzzzzzz which is fun and '70's-ish, however I don't think it really delivers as a lead voc pre.
