So, i'm walking through this great shop in downtown Houston, and on the wall is a '1960's Gibson' guitar. The headstock sticker is gone, but the shadow is still there and obviously a Gibson shadow. The marker in the soundhole is gone, and it looks like someone may have tried to strip the top at some point in the last 45 years. It's been kicked, beaten, slapped and bruised. But, what a freakin' dream to play. Neck is beautiful and feels great. Haven't taken my hands off of it for a week.

Don't know if that's good or bad, but I love the guitar.
 
If it really is a Gibson that's a great price. Is there a serial number anywhere? They're usually stamped in the wood on top or back of the headstock on Gibsons.

The important thing though is you like the way it sounds, feels and plays.

It doesn't matter what brand it is.

If you love it, it's priceless.

The best electric guitar I ever had was a Penco SG copy.

It was a killer guitar... too bad I traded it years ago. :(
