Hey all,
Just wanted to post a general thread regarding what to do next. I have a soundcraft notepad mixer, studio projects b1 mic and echo indigo i/o soundcard for my laptop. I've tested it all...seems to be working very well. I also have my songs that I want to record pretty much ready...the question is...now what? Can anyone give tips for starting out recording (e.g. various levels to record at, what effects to use where, how to create a good mix, types of program [currently using n-track for the multitracking and thats it]) Basically I want to know how to get the most out of my equipment and produce a recording as good as I can get it, given my limitations. I will be recording about 3 acoustic guitar tracks and 2 vocal tracks. I'm also looking to add some synths or whatever in there too. Any ideas? Anyone in a similar situation?
Many thanks,
Simon
