Good setup for hiphop recording?

Im going to use my computer with the following specs:

AMD Athlon X2 5800+ 3.0ghz
3GB DDR2 Ram
ATI 4870 HD
Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe Motherboard

Im going to purchase:

PreSonus FireStudio Mobile FireWire Audio Interface

I would not recommend the FireStudio with an AMD system. Their drivers suck, and anecdotally, they seem to be worse on AMD setups. Avoid any interface based on the DICE or DICE II audio chipset and you should be okay. For example, the Presonus FP10 should be usable.
