Going from sonar 2.2 to 3.1

If anyone has upgraded to Sonar 3 from Sonar 2, I'm interested to know what the most useful new feature you've found is. I'm considering upgrading, but I'm not sure if it's worth the money at this point. All the people I know why have Sonar 3 upgraded from either home studio or CW pro audio 9, so most of the "new features" they're excited about are already in Sonar 2.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? What made it worth the upgrade for you?

Hands down - Universal Bus Routing.

The VST Adapter was a nice bonus as well.

(Note: I only went for the Studio Version. Others might have found something else in the Producer Edition worthwhile.)

Well I had the vst adapter already (bought it from fxpansion)... that UBA does look pretty cool, though...

Does it sound any better? I mean, I know summing bus quality is a pretty subtle thing, but do you notice any difference?

Don't get me started on this one. :) It does sound a "little" different.

Better is subjective and not necessarily the goal for mixing. Accuracy is probably more appropriate.

However, some people do feel they can mix better on Sonar 3 because of "sound" of S3. I haven't found that to be the case (but I don't mix any worse either :) ).
