Glass Doors For Drum Shield

I've aquired 4 glass sliding doors without the tracks. They all are still in their frames.I'm going to try them out as a drum shield.Anyone else tried this idea?

The really nice thing about plexiglass is that if you hit it with, like let's say, a flying drumstick or a toppling boom stand or an over zealous musician, it won't shatter into a mass of little glass pebbles. Plexi doesn't weigh a ton and is much easier to transport.
Sliding glass doors make a fairly good entryway into a moderately isolated drum room, but I don't know anyone that has used it as a drum sheild. I suppose it should work, but to me it sounds like a real pain and an accident waiting to happen.
Good luck with it.

GLASS SLIDING DOORS

Hey,
See these glass doors I'm using will have casters and will be hinged together.Minimim movement.I like things to be heavy duty.

Happy Recording and drumming!

I saw the Pretenders in concert the other night and the drummer, Martin Chambers had a glass/plexi shield in front of his kit to help stop bleed into the vocal mics I guess
