Gibson ES-137 Custom. Opinions?

I've been looking at this guitar for some time but have not had a chance to get out and take one for a spin. I'd be interested in opinions/impressions from any members who have had one in their hands.

I've played the 137 classic. A good friend owns one and i've taken it for a spin a few times. I was playing it through one of those marshall valvestate heads, through an avt 2x12. I thought it sounded quite nice. He didn't really like the neck though. He said the finish slowed him down a bit.

If you are gonna spend the money to get a Gson though, you had better try the one you want to get first :D .
 
I bought a ES 135 from GC a few years back and though I liked the sound and pickups, the neck was so poorly finished I ended up taking it back.
