Getting my project Studio Setup ? Need Advice ?

Hi

Here is my current plan for my studio.
for my main console I plan to use 3 tascam tmd 1000 mixers and daisy chain them together, for one big console.

for my harddisk I have 2 Fostex D-160 16 track harddisk and one D-80 8 Track for a total of 40 tracks.
Also have a fostex D-25 Dat.

I don't have a pc daw at this time plan to add one in the near future,

I'm looking at getting a digital mixer to use with my harddisks I was thinking of getting 2 20 channel Roland Vm3100 mixers daisy chain both and use them with my harddisk ?

would this setup work ?

cool,

I already have one tascam tmd 1000 and love it. At first I wanted a behringer mixer but then figured that digital will be much better to work don't get me wrong I love analog too.

Also I have the fostex harddisk recorders currently sitting in my racks, I still need to get my two other tascam mixers and the rolands I figure I get the rolands because the vm3100 are 20 channels.

I don't have a computer to use at this time plan to get one later for now just plan to use my harddisks.

since I eventually plan to add a computer maybe in the future would the tascam mixers be able interface with it ? since I plan to use cubase and samplitude along with reason ?

would these mixers be able to help control software or should I conect my computer soundcard to the roland vm3100 mixers ?
