(FYI) Finally found a decent set of cheap wireless cans

To anyone interested in some cheap wireless cans...

I've been wanting some wireless cans, not for tracking (nor mixing, heaven forbid), but just for casually listening to rough mixes for ideas while roaming the house and yard. I've generally found that cheap + wireless is usually a disaster. I've tried various models, with disappointment, and read reviews everywhere I can during the past year, and I finally found a $100 pair with surprisingly good sound: Senn's rs-130.

If you want to learn more, you can check out my review of the rs-130 at amazon.com. It's the second review there (by J. Hanson). The rs-130 is open-back, in the Senn tradition, and it sounds a bit better than the closed rs-140, which I also bought and tried. Both have some interference issues when roaming too far from the base, but still very useable most of the time. In fact, they sound so good that I'm using them much more than I'd expected.

Best,

J.
