Cosmetically, this mic is in fantastic condition. It comes with everything seen in the pic. On and off, I have been having the problem with wind noise as described in this thread:

The warranty has expired on this one and I really don't feel like wasting my time/money sending it out for repair, so this would be ideal for y'all DIYers.

Cosmetically also in great condition, there is a serial number etched into the rear of the mic as shown in the pic, but otherwise it works flawlessly. Not too much info out there on this mic, but it does a great job as an instrument mic. particularly, kick drum, guitar cabs and acoustic guitars. I also used this as a scratch and screamer mic.

Hey Phil, I had a similar problem before on a MXL603s and it was a zener diode used to regulate the phantom power. I realize it's a tube mic so no phantom, but maybe something like it in this mic, or maybe the power supply.

(Sorry mrbowes if that by chance is the fix )
