fruity loops halion compatability?

Help, I'm getting really frustrated with this! Using Fruity loops as a VST plugin along with halion. Whenever I turn Halion on, the fruity loops plugin does not play. Is there some kind of incompatability, or are the two of them using up too much resources together? The VST performance isn't even above 10% on the cpu though!

perhaps you have them strangely connected on same channels... check your setups... also check your mixer panels while playing back...
does floops work when halion is not on??
