Hey,

can anyone give me some link to a site with any interesting free rtas plugins for pro tools LE? I've been looking around but I didn't find anything really interesting. Any ideas?

Thanks a lot - happy new year ;)

If you had the VST Wrapper for rtas, you would be open to a whole new world of plugin's! There are LOT'S of free VST's that are actually really good at what they do!

thanks for your help guys. ;)

Ford Van, is there any plugin for that which you'd recommend in particular? I think there are quite a few options available to let a PT LE user play with VSTs.... which one's the best?

benny, yeah, I already got these - if I'm not mistaken I read about them in a post of yours ;) I think I also have the latest DigiRack. I guess by "EQ7" you mean "7 Band EQ 3" right? And also the the "Dynamics 3" thing....?

There's also a free spectrum analyzer called inspector from www.elementalaudio.com. They make good cheap plugs if you have some money to spend too.
As far as wrappers go, I use the FXPansion on, works great. An awesome VST plug is "SIR" convolution reverb, which runs flawlessly through the FXPansion wrapper. http://www.knufinke.de/sir/index_en.html
You have to download impulse responses, but there are many good ones available in the links in the SIR site.

Will this verb work on a mac if I have the VST-RTAS wrapper? On another note, you could download the digitalfishbones dynamics package.

Just as a start, try the digitalfishphones: http://www.digitalfishphones.com/main.php?item=2&subItem=1

The Fish Fillets are a compressor, a noise gate, and a de-esser.

Endorphin is pretty good. THD is nice.

And try the KJAERHUS Audio stuff: http://www.kjaerhusaudio.com/classic-series.php These in particular are WELL worth using!

Those two companies should serve you very well. It is all free too! :D

Hmm, I dunno much about macs at all. Anyone?

Just go buy the VST to RTAS adapter... It's money well spent...

Think of it this way: The adapter costs $99. With that adapter alone you get access to all the FREE VST plugs in the world! I'm not sure how many free VST plugs there are out there, but let's say theres 100 of them... That'd be less than $1 each! It's basically like buying a plugin bundle with 100+ plugins for $99... It's a no-brainer...

There are some of the free VST stuff out there you'll never use... But for about $1 each, it's worth that for the entertainment value... :)

lol, yep, ok guys I will buy the adapter ;) As soon as I can afford it, cause I have to pay custom fees for a new guitar right now ;)
