Last tuesday I went to Portland (Or) to Brownell Sound (thanks Kid Klash for turning me on to them) and got myself a Studio Projects TB-1 tube mic. I LOVE IT! It is warm, clear, smooth and all around great sounding mic. It will now replace my Shure KSM27 for all (or at least most) of my vocal tracks. If you are in the market for a $300 USD mic, I strongly suggest you try out a TB-1. I think you will really like it.
