How do you assign thr tracks to the inputs? I cannot find it in the manual. If you know you can give me the page number if you like.

Pretty easy. The 1/4 in. jacks on the top correspond to the channels below, labeled 1 thru 8 on top and 9 thru 16 on the bottom. Example, Plug into jack 1, press "INPUT SEL" press "DIRECT REC TRK". Now you can either choose "CH STATUS/CH SEL (the buttons above the faders) 1 on the top, or 9 on the bottom. Press record to moniter, press record and play to start recording. Use the trim to adjust.. Hope that helps. Good luck.

One more thing

You can track exchange in any number of ways by using the edit button after you have recorded something.
