Fostex 4-track service?

Hi all:

Simple question: Who in the U.S. services Fostex 4-tracks these days?

I believe the motor is shot on my X-28. Having had no luck finding a replacement (see my prior question), I suppose I'll just try to get mine fixed. Bonus points if you can recommend someone in California (or, even better, Los Angeles).

Thanks!

It would probably be cheaper to purchase another unit on eBay - I had the 260 and it died and purchased another 4track - they all seem to be set up the same either analog (cassette tapes - remember those) or the new digital ones. I now have a VF160EX and love it! I don't know why Fostex stopped making multitrack recorders with 8 or greater track simultaneous recording with the exception of the LR16 which would be my next new purchase.

Try finding a complete new unit to purchase - possibly less expensive in the long run than a repair.
