For those of you that hadn't heard:

Obviously the floresent lighting will go, so too will the ceiling fan.

There's a small room in the back, that will be an equipment room:

The "Main" room's dimension's are roughly 35'x14'x8'h
The equipment room is about 9'x14'x8'h
There's a full bath that is about 9'x10'x8'h

The studio has its own HVAC system, completely separate from tho house, and
Get This!:

Its isolated from the room!
It sits about 20 feet away in a sort of... crawl space/storage area.

Here's the return air: (not the back side of the wall is unfinished. great for wiring!)

So it looks like you have a nice space to record in.... just not seperate from the rest of the house?

Welcome back, we've missed ya.

Good to see you back here, "BRO" :D (don't let that OTHER place fool ya ;)
Keep us posted Michael...doggone, frederic, Darryl, Steve, and now you, all in one week  :D Sheesh, its like homecoming week!!

How the hell did you get the grand piano in there?

Nice digs BTW.

I sure hope you sold the other house to a musician. It kinda makes me sick
to think about boxes full of Christmas shit, lawn mowers, weed eaters, and
junk being piled up in that studio.

Yeah, I echo Fitz's greeting. I've been wondering what the state of Carriage House studio was, and now we know. Too bad you had to leave so much sweat equity behind, but the new space sounds like it has plenty of potential as well (heck, to me it sounds heavenly!! Still working in my little 8x8x8 cube in the basement, but it is my space and I'm proud of it anyway!!).

Looking forward to more interchange as you get crackin' on the room.

Congratulations and good luck!!

Darryl.....

My piano movers are amazing!!
I call them "My" piano movers because, they are the ONLY ones I'll use.
Its a group here in Austin called Cobra Piano Movers".

They first had to get that 7'-2" Grand down here:
(Of course, at the time, there was no ice on the stairs. :p

And finally bring it into this room.

There is another entrance to this room from the outside, but its a pathway that's not paved, and its kinda steep.

In Austin that must have cost a furtune. I used to live out in the Jonestown area. nice but high cost of living.

I live in Lakeway. Which is actually a city.
Back in the day, when I first moved to Austin, Lakeway was a little subdivision.
But, yeah, it can be expensive I guess.
Its not like, say, San Francisco though. :p
