What OS do you use?

I run cubase sx now, and am thinking of going back to windows 2000, because of some weird compatibility issues for sx and xp (a horrific nightmare of a story). I see that le 6.1 only runs on xp. Therefore, to use pro tools, i should keep xp, or should i just go back to 2000 and use the version before 6.1.

any feedback?

can you go with a mac computer and plug in a regular pc monitor?

Just looking for a way around things...as you can tell, i am new to the whole mac thing
 
well you can and there are various adapters for the purpose. anyways, protools is best run in mac cause it crashes frequently in windoze
