Footcontroller (FC7) and Roland XV-3080 (turn off controller)

Hey all,
For some reason I can't wrap my head around this today. I have a FC7 controller pedal hooked up to my Motif 8 (first foot controller jack) and intend to use it for volume. I have a Roland XV-3080 hooked up to the Motif, and would like to set it up so the Motif accepts the volume changes with the FC7, but the XV-3080 does not. I played around with the XV this morning and thought I had set it to not accept the controller, but it still does.

Any ideas? I'm probably missing something easy.

Thanks for the reply. Not sure what you mean though.

I found where I can change the thru port, but that has no effect for this.

I've got the Motif midi out going into the Roland midi in right now, and am not using the Motif for patch changes on the Roland (have the Roland set to not accept the change info).

a soft thru will forward anything that comes in one the in port (your FC7) to the thru port AND the midi out. The program change should not be echoed to the out port only to the thru so I suspect there is a setting on the motif that is responsible
