Focal CMS40s, Sonodyne SM50AK, or Event 20/20BAS

Hi Guys,
I'm looking for a pair of monitors for under 1k that will be a nice upgrade over the old HSM50s I have. I was looking at the Event 20/20BAS based on the price and size but have heard a lot of great things about the Focals and Sonodynes. Has anyone had experience with those two or even all three?
 
If no one has had any experience with any of these three can u suggest a sub 1k set of monitors for mixing rock,pop,folk which are a step up from the HSM50s?
 
I have not owned any of the monitors that you asked about, but I do know that the Event 20/20's are very good sounding monitors, I also got to hear the Sonodyne range at a trade show and their monitors are very good. Unfortunately when recommending monitors it all come down to personal taste and what some people find to be good others hate, also it takes a while to get used to new monitors as you have to work with them for a while. I think all 3 you listed are good monitors it will come down to personal choice.
