But I ended up deleting them, for not being able to hear any "playback." After consulting the manual, I found what I was doing wrong, with the "recording" part, then recorded another test track...however shitty and out of tune sounding it was. But, hey, it was just a test track, so it got deleted as well. The next time I do some test recording, I'll work with overdubbing, according to the steps in the manual. I've already been through that section once, but I immediately realized the potential of overdubbing as a creative tool...to capture something as it "just happens" in the context of a jam session, then be able to go back and listen while creating other parts to go with it.
I don't know how long it'll take me, but at some point in 2008 I'll have my first album recorded.
