Firewire port

Whats the firewire port look like?I have a 1394 connection listed but I only see usb jacks and normal outputs in the back.I see another type of port but its lower around what looks like a monitor jack.I need to know because Im about to purchase some sort of sound device.

Well it should have a little picture next to the port. Or you could always go to google images and type in "firewire." Nevermind, I'll do it for you.

Oh. There's also 4-pin and 6-pin types. 4 is noticably smaller than 6 pin. Make sure you know which one you have when purchasing although most products come with both, or none.
