Firestudio vs. Fireface 400 or 800

I am planning of buying one of those two. I just wanted to get opinions on which one has the best sound/preamps overall.
 
I haven't used any of them but I know that RME is well-known for their Preamps. I guess you could say it's their specialty, so I'm sure the 400 or 800 would be a nice choice. Of course PreSonus products seem to be pretty popular too.

Tough call, I'd try to go to a local retailer and find out which you like the best first hand.
 
The Fireface800 is 2-3 times the price of the Firestudio, but its worth that. Better everything. I have used all of the units extensively. If you have the $, the RME will give you better results. If youre short and cash and need a single solution, the Firestudio gives you lots of inputs and 8 preamps. Be warned there is a problem with all the Firestudios sold so far, so I'd wait for the revised version to ship.
