Firepod with headphone amp/monitor volume

Well im looking into buying a firepod in the next couple weeks and after researching something i still can't figure this out. Suppose i plug my headphone amp into the "cue mix line out" then monitors into the "main cr output". How would i go about having my monitors at a low level while recording but, having the headphones and a pretty decent loudness? The problem is i don't know if the "Main" volume knob affects the "cue mix line out" Another question i have is, are the 2 outputs on the "cue mix line out" left and right or are both outputs in mono? Thanks guys

The level on the main CR out is controlled by the Main Level knob.
The level on the Cue mix line out is controlled by the Input/Playback mixer knob.
Turning it towards Playback increases the cue mix volume (& decreases the input monitoring level).

For recording, you can turn the main level down completely, and the mixer level around 12 o clock. This gives a reasonable balance between what you're recording & what's being played back.

The 2 outputs are left & right
