Firepod default soundcard

I can play music just fine in cubase and in iTunes. However, if I try playing mp3s or videos in safari, quicktime, windows media, the sound plays through my powerbook's internal speakers. I have the firepod set as the deafult sound card in the audio section in system preferences. I also have it set as system default in the audio midi device manager. Is there any way to have sound from those applications routed through my firepod so I can listen with my monitors? Thanks!

For media player, right click then Tools, Options, Devices. Click on Speakers, Properties and select the Firepod.
Need to do something similar for quicktime etc.

hmmm...can't right click in windows media, and can't find anything resembling a tools section. I tried looking in quicktime and safari, but didn't find anything either. I use a Mac, maybe you have a PC? Thanks though. Any other suggestions?

ahh sorry, you did say powerbook.

Do you have a Preferences or Options in there somewhere?

I had to do the same thing recently when I installed another soundcard with midi. MP defaulted to that instead of the delta 44. It overrides the default System setting
