I'm going to see Harvey Reid tonight--for the third time in four years.

I know, I know, you've never heard of him.

Harvey combines extradordinary fingerstyle and bottleneck guitar technique with a troubadour's passion for lyric and melody (no, I did not read that somewhere). He plays multible styles: celtic, traditional, folk, blues , classical, and you name it.

If you ever get the opportunity to see Harvey Reid live, DO NOT pass it up!

I checked out his website. He's pretty good. Thats a sweet guitar sound he's got on the recordings.

He does know how to get "the sound." He was in a melancholy mood tonight--played a lot of somber stuff. I think he suffered some some kind of personal loss this past year, and with sep 11 and all. Well, that's the stuff songs are made of.
