Fender Volume Tone Pedal

Is this just a bit gimmicky? Or is it actually a viable performance tool? If it works like it says it does, I can imagine it being quite a useful tool (I've often wanted to gently bring the tone knob up gently while still playing, and this looks like it should do the job.) Or are there any individual tone pedals (I imagine a wah would not have quite the same sound.)

Any thoughts?

Weird! If you want to control your tone during a performance and don't want to twiddle the knobs....then this is for you! I personally don't use the tone knob ever on my Strat, rarely on my Tele, and my PRS doesn't even have one. I use my volume pedal constantly, though.
