How do the re-issues compare to the older ones? Do they sound OK?

I'm trying to decide if I should spend my money on an older one, or save a few dollars and buy a re-issue.

I do know about a lot better. I own an original 1965 and a reissue I gig with. The tone of the reissue is not bad at all. The only real problem I have is the weight of the reissue. It is really really heavy. I found a reissue for $450, I could not pass up that deal. The guy was hard up for cash. I think the retail price of these new reissues is too high. I would buy a vintage one.
