fender bronco

Single coils NOT just like a Strat.........Broncos, Duosonics, and Music masters had cheaper single coils with flat plastic pickup covers with no pole peices showing. Since you got the guitar cheap, you may want to get some aftermarket pickups as an upgrade unless you want the originals. I don't know of any one selling repro pickups for these guitars but you can find originals if you browse the adds in Vintage Guitar Magazine or www.guitar-parts.com. Honestly though, you'll spend the same amount for good originals with the right covers as you would midpriced aftermarkets--$60 each. Lipstick tube pickups would be way cool but they won't be very loud, but that's what amps are for or reissue Fifties Tele pickups, Fender custom shop parts offer some variety or even hot rails. A really good matched set of singles with cost around $125-$175 but if the guitar plays well it may be worth it.

Does Ford Motor Company own Fender? Ford's cars and Fender's guitars share the same names: Bronco, Jaguar, Mustang.

Cool,
Then I can look forward to the newest mammoth SUV, the Ford Stratocaster???:D
