yup, real violins. We experimented alot when recording them. We did 5 overdubs where te guy improvised, but he wasnt allowed to hear what he previously had recorded. Then we cut away everything that sounded like crap and ended up with this somewhat strange string arrangement. Alot of cutting and fading, but it turned out pretty well i think.
