Fair price EH 12AY7 Mic Pre?

Hey Guys,


Love my Electro Harmonix 12AY7 Pre, but I am saving for something up in the API league of pre's.

If I listed this either here, or on Ebay, what would be a fair price?

It's in great shape. I've been using it for around 2 years. I have the box and the "manual".

Any idea what a fair price is for me to ask?
 
It is hard to say what is fair.
I typically try to sell my stuff for a little over half what I bought it for unless I bought it used.
In the case of this pre, they are available for about $190 new.
They are actually a pretty good pre by all reports so I figure you should get something between $100-120 for it.
Having said that, for what you are going to have to come up for an API type pre it is a drop in the bucket.

You may just want to keep it.

EBAY is a different animal, I've seen people get as much or more than what they paid for it...go figure.
 
Yeah, I kind of got thinking that as well. For $100, I may as well keep it. The Pre's I am looking at are $2000+.

Also, your right about wierdness on Ebay.... sometimes it seems like people will buy through Ebay even if it only saves them $5.
